Finding true Massaman paste isn’t easy outside of Thailand. My Thai partner used to make his own (David Thompson recipe) but Mae Jum paste is very close to perfection there is no need to lose a whole day in the kitchen making pastes. Believe me this has the depth, the complexity, the perfect balance of flavour including tamarind and roasted spice you don’t usually find. As with every other paste we’ve tried (all of them!) we adore this taste of home, thank you!!
Having tried many thai pastes I feel qualified to state that this is the absolute best! One pack does two curries for us (enough for 4 people). It is so full of flavour and we love ours quite hot. Can't wait to try some other pastes!

Absolutely delicious pastes, restaurant quality and great to freeze portions. Can use more coconut milk/stock if you don’t like it as spicy
